Ellen Knowles

Ellen is a born and raised Minnesotan and received her B.S. from the University of Minnesota in 2019 with a major in child psychology and a minor in Spanish studies. Her research interests broadly include the impact of early adversity and trauma on youth mental health and the biopsychosocial factors which contribute to both risk and resiliency in youth. She is particularly interested in children and adolescents from underserved communities, and more specifically, how to increase access to services, as well as improve existing assessment and treatment methods to be more culturally-sensitive and inclusive, for these populations.
