McKensey Berg

McKensey is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and received her B.S. in Psychology from South Dakota State University with minors in Human Development and Family Studies, Mental Health Services, and Religion. Her research interests focus on examining children’s peer and familial relationships, specifically how authenticity and vulnerability impact the stability and longevity of these relationships. Her other interests lie in ensuring rural communities receive adequate mental health care, especially for children and adolescents affected by trauma, and increasing access to these services across underserved and rural communities.
